The Power Undelete Wizard installation file is a very lightweight 1MB in size. You can install the application on any Windows version, from the quite old Windows 98 up to the modern Windows 7. A straightforward setup wizard will guide you through the process of installing Power Undelete Wizard on your machine.

The interface puts the emphasis on the three steps you must take to recover your deleted data. Step 1 is to select a scan method; you can choose between a quick scan which will complete in a blink and a full scan which will take longer to complete because each cluster of the disk will be checked. Step 2 is to select the disk you want to scan. Step 3 involves going through the results and selecting the files you want to recover. Please note that you should not try to recover a deleted file to the same drive (a deleted file from D: should not be recovered to the same drive; from the Option menu you can change the default path where files are recovered) and also note that the trial version of Power Undelete Wizard does not recover files larger than 32KB.
